Hey Everyone, I've saved up a bunch of exciting news to share all at once.

First off, last Friday I was selected as the winner of 97.9's unsigned artist in Florida. The song that won was "In Case I go Again." It was judged by three top record executives, and was selected over nine other finalists to win. 97.9 is a top 40 radio station and is a leading radio station in Florida. My song was played twice that morning. Thank you so much to those of you that voted!! I truly appreciate all of your support. In light of this news, I have put "In Case I go Again" up for free download on my myspace page. You don't need to have a myspace account to download it, so if you want the song, head over to www.myspace.com/mikeywax and click the download link under the song title.

In other news, as many of you know, I have been working very hard and passionately on my first album. I am so happy to say that all of the recording is complete! The album is now being mixed and mastered, and I am currently working on the album artwork and photos. I am hoping to release it by early October. It will be available for purchase on cdBaby.com first, and iTunes shortly after. With all of your guys continued support, I know the album can become an independent success. I've posted some new songs from the album on my myspace page as well. Check them out.

Last, I have been selected as a new artist for nycgigs.com. They do booking, marketing, and promotion in NYC. I have gigs lined up in the city throughout the summer at the National Underground which is owned and run by Gavin Degraw. I hope to see you all at a show at some point! I am also working on a college tour for the fall. I will have more news on that soon.
