Mikey Wax Named Unsigned Artist of the Week by 97.9 WRMF In South Florida!
Mikey, along with hundreds of other applicants, were allowed to submit just one song for the unsigned Idol contest held by South Florida's 97.9 WRMF morning hosts Jennifer & Danny. Mikey submitted "In case I Go Again". The radio station would select a song to be played each weekday morning and have it critiqued by 3 judges. The artist with the most points would be declared the weekly winner from the 5 songs played during each week. Mikey's 'In case I Go Again' won for the week ending April 11th, 2008! Currently, there have been 9 weekly finalists. Now is the voting stage. Click the link to the right to vote for Mikey! On May 16th, the top 3 most voted artists will be listened to by record A&R representatives. These representatives will decide the grand prize winner for best song by an unsigned artist.
